I was born in sunny London in 1961 but brought up mostly in Denham, Buckinghamshire where it was all green, and I spent all my time in the woods studying the wildlife (hence my obsession with animals)

After many jobs I went to art college in Taunton , Somerset and then did a degree in Stoke-on Trent.

I've been an illustrator for the last 18 years, mainly working in children's books though I've turned my hand to anything humorous. In that time I've worked for most of the publishers in Britain though also in Ireland and the U.S.and also have done greetings cards and children's clothes designing.

I work in a few different styles, mainly using watercolours,inks and gouache and have now got into acrylics. I'm also into writing my own books.

I now live in a cute thatched cottage in the middle of Devon with my 2 cats where, when I'm not illustrating, I do mosaics, basket weaving and go walking- bliss!
